How to decommission your equipment

It is a time of uncertainty for us all and it is possible you may have to leave your coffee machine inactive for an unknown length of time.
We have put together these steps for decommissioning your machine. This will prevent any unwelcome odours or build-up of bacteria.
Please carry out the below before powering off your machine.
If you have a Fresh Milk Machine:
- Open fridge, remove milk within container
- Do routine milk clean or milk flush as instructed in the handbook
- Do routine daily espresso and instant whipper bowl clean
- Remove milk container, empty product & wash using washing up liquid or similar
- Place container back in fridge.
- Leave fridge door OPEN
- Open machine, remove & empty instant powder canisters ensure all the product is removed.
- Replace canisters
- Lock bean hopper slider, remove bean hopper & empty beans
- Remove manual fill water tank (if applicable) & empty any water
- Refit the tank
- Power off machine & fridge.
- Isolate water supply (if machine is plumbed in)
- Remove the drip tray and coffee waste bin & wash using washing up liquid or similar.
- Refit the tray
If you have an Instant or Powdered Machine:
- Do routine daily espresso & instant whipper bowl clean as instructed in the handbook
- Open machine, remove & empty instant powder canisters ensure all the product is removed
- Replace canisters
- Lock bean hopper slider, remove bean hopper & empty beans
- Remove manual fill water tank (if applicable) & empty any water Refit the tank
- Power off machine
- Isolate water supply (if machine is plumbed in)
- Remove the drip tray and coffee waste bin & wash using washing up liquid or similar.
- Refit the tray
Note: When a machine is recommissioned, it must have a cleaning cycle run through first prior to consuming any drinks.
