The Coffee Excellence department at Liquidline is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of coffee quality across our business. Led by our Head of Coffee, the team combines deep industry expertise with hands-on knowledge of Liquidline’s equipment and product range to ensure our customers get the very best coffee experience.

Working closely with suppliers, engineers, and internal teams, the department oversees coffee quality control, develops our product offering, and delivers tailored training to both customers and staff. Whether it’s fine-tuning a machine setup, refreshing a menu, or running a barista training session, the Coffee Excellence team plays a vital role in helping our customers get the most from their coffee equipment.

With a focus on consistency, innovation, and product knowledge, the team ensures Liquidline remains at the forefront of workplace coffee.

Tim Squirrell

Tim Squirrell

Tim is the Head of Coffee at Liquidline, leading the development and execution of our coffee strategy with a focus on quality, innovation, and customer experience. An Authorised Speciality Trainer with over a decade of hands-on experience in the coffee industry, Tim brings deep expertise and passion to every aspect of our coffee offering.

With extensive knowledge spanning coffee sourcing, brewing techniques, equipment, and training, Tim ensures that Liquidline remains at the forefront of coffee excellence. His industry background includes working across a range of coffee environments, from independent cafés to large-scale operations, giving him a unique understanding of what makes a great coffee experience.

In his role, Tim works closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to shape Liquidline’s coffee proposition, deliver expert training, and support strategic growth through coffee-led initiatives.

Passionate about speciality coffee and raising standards across the industry, Tim is a strong advocate for education, consistency, and delivering value through every cup.

The Customer Service department at Liquidline serves as the first point of contact for our valued customers. Our dedicated team provides prompt and professional support, resolving issues and delivering exceptional service experiences. Whether handling inbound calls or responding to emails, the team ensures every customer interaction reflects Liquidline’s commitment to customer WOW.

With a strong emphasis on efficiency, empathy, and professionalism, the Customer Service team plays a vital role in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. Through thoughtful communication and a respectful approach, they help foster positive interactions and long-term relationships that support the company’s continued success.

Sarah heads up our customer service team and brings with her a wealth of customer-facing experience, including from the happiest places on earth – Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney World Florida. Here, Sarah honed her customer service credentials in all aspects of customer service, from her excellent communication skills to her efficient problem-solving and adaptability.

Enthusiastic and bubbly, Sarah is a positive personality who thrives in the fast-paced and varied discipline of customer service. People-centric, she is both an excellent team leader and a great advocate for providing WOW to all our customers.

The Finance team is led by our Finance Director, Karen Morphew, and is made up of four individual teams:

Financial Planning – Financial performance results, Budget & Forecasting ownership, Financial Audit, and Statutory Requirements (VAT/Corporation Tax)

Transitional Finance – Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Employee Expenses & Credit Cards

Credit Management – Credit limits, Payment terms and Overdue Customer Invoices

CARE – Equipment, contract and invoicing set up after installation, Invoice disputes and group account or contract amendments.

Karen Morphew

Financial Director

Karen Morphew

Karen began her journey with Liquidline back in January 2023, heading the finance team as our Financial Controller.

With a CIMA qualification and a wealth of knowledge spanning over 29 years in the finance industry, Karen has worked for many well-known large corporate companies as an associate director of finance and in various other head of finance roles. Karen has a history of strong leadership skills, often leading financial management across companies and leading talented finance teams.

Karen is responsible for supporting and heading up the whole finance function at Liquidline, from planning and budgeting to financial reporting and external audits. She and the team ensure that we are compliant and correct, taking a forward-facing approach, looking to the future, and planning ahead.

In her time with Liquidline, Karen has transformed the team’s efficiency, focusing on aligning everyday processes to be fit for purpose, whilst ensuring good governance for the business. Karen also takes pride in her strategy for growth, taking a head on approach to encourage the development of junior staff and supporting them through accounting qualifications.

Embodying all our core values, Karen has great ambitions for the future of the Liquidline finance department, plans of which our customers, suppliers, external stakeholders, and staff will benefit from greatly.

Credit Management

Ensuring that our customers have invoice queries resolved promptly, management of credit terms, and resolution of customer payment issues.

Financial Transactions

Ensuring our customer and supplier transactions are accurately recorded, including managing the payment process to suppliers and direct debit mandates for customers, recording customer receipts to invoices, resolving account balance queries, and issuing copy invoices when requested. Processing expenses for our employees.

Financial Reporting

Delivering monthly management accounts, financial planning and supporting strategic business decisions. The team drives continuous improvement through insight-driven reporting and financial analysis. Management of internal controls and processes, and responsibility for the external annual financial reporting and audit.

Our experienced IT team maintain our networks and provide hands-on support via our in-house service desk. You will find them installing, maintaining and repairing hardware and software components. They are skilled in diagnosing tech problems and configuring systems to suit the business requirements.

Our skilled Web Developers also form part of the IT team and work to ensure that they are always ahead of the trend, improving employee experience at every opportunity and providing technical solutions to support the business needs. Day-to-day, you will find them working hard to ensure that project deadlines are achieved and functionalities are fit for purpose.

Matthew Pooley

IT Director

Matthew Pooley

Matt takes the lead in ensuring the systems and networks we have in place are strategically aligned with the objectives of the business. Matt lives Liquidline’s core values of innovation and smart working and has a passion for developing systems that complement and enhance the everyday lives of both our team and customers.

Matt oversees two separate facets of the IT team – our IT support team, which is responsible for the day-to-day demands of the business in terms of hardware and software, as well as our team of web and software developers, who create the online systems we use every day. This includes the websites for both our UK and Ireland businesses, as well as our internal quoting tool and our My Account Portal. The Portal, in particular, has been a passion project for Matt as it includes several phases of development, all designed to enhance the overall experience of our customers.

Systems Development

Developing and maintaining internal software systems, from product management to logistics, online stores, apps and more.

Software & Hardware Support

Providing support on the ground to team members, ensuring all equipment and software is fit for purpose.

Network Maintenance

Maintaining the communications network across multiple offices, as well as ensuring team members in the field are adequately connected.

The Liquidline Marketing department is responsible for creating and maintaining a strong brand identity for our business, working alongside IT on our website and portal, generating leads from our web channels, designing marketing materials, and assisting with customer development. Our team of Marketers and Designers work hard to understand our audience and goals as a business, developing strategies to increase our brand awareness and grow our company.

Our talented team of Graphic Designers have developed visual brand guidelines for Liquidline that are used across our website and social media. They support our operations and sales teams by producing branded materials such as stickers for machines, brochures, spec sheets and branded gifts.

Digital marketing is a huge part of our lead generation strategy, driven by our marketing team who manage paid ads on Google and ensure our websites are SEO-friendly so that we appear within search results. Our marketing team play a huge role in maintaining effective communication and nurturing our customer relationships, managing our various social media platforms and email campaigns.

Katherine Brown

Chief Marketing Officer

Katherine Brown

Katherine has over 20 years of experience working with global brands, marketing professionals, and leadership teams. During this time, she has successfully launched brands domestically and into new international markets.

With a Post Graduate Diploma focused on Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and 12 plus years at board level, Katherine is a business professional with a history of working successfully across multiple industries. Her notable achievements include a long list of business turnarounds, focusing on scaling and rapidly growing mature companies and multi-nationals.

Katherine is bringing a range of skills to Liquidline, including business planning, direct marketing, multi-channel marketing and ROI management. Specialising in customer-centric strategic profitable business plans, she will be working with the whole marketing team to meet the needs of the business and keep our customers happy.

In her career, she has been lucky enough to mainly work on passion projects with businesses that have a great product and are focused on working together to grow, and Liquidline demonstrates this well. We are excited to have Katherine on the team and look forward to seeing the results we know she will achieve.

Lead Generation

Generating leads through our website, SEO and social media.

Brand Management

Creating and maintaining our brand identity through visuals and messaging.

Graphic Design

Designing marketing materials such as leaflets, brochures, spec sheets and more.

Operations is our largest department, with the team based up and down the country. Our Engineers are machine specialists who attend customer sites to install machines or to repair faults that may have occurred. They are extremely knowledgeable in their field and work hard to ensure they provide the best service. Making sure they always leave customers with a warm beverage in their hands!

The Engineers are supported by our Logistics team, who coordinate routes to ensure a right-first-time install or fault fix, all whilst providing a WOW level of customer service.

Our hardworking Warehouse team are an integral part in ensuring that our customers receive the right stock, at the right time.
The workshop team are our in-house machine technicians, who complete all pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) to the highest quality and ensure all machines are set up to Liquidline specifications.

The Parts team make sure that we have the necessary stock for our Field Service Engineers to effectively complete their customer repairs or installations.

Angus Pooley

Operations Director

Angus Pooley

Angus has been with the business since 2003, moving to the operations department in 2023, bringing with him 20 years of Liquidline experience and knowledge!

He is an ambassador of operational efficiency, ensuring smooth collaboration across teams to deliver outstanding products and services that WOW our customers. He oversees Engineering, Logistics, and Warehouse operations, guiding our teams to peak performance.

Angus is a champion of clear communication between departments, fostering a supportive work environment where feedback flows freely. People management is central to his role, where he sets targets, supports team members, and nurtures a culture of engagement. With Angus at the helm, our installations are punctual, issues are swiftly resolved, and customer satisfaction remains our top priority, cementing Liquidline’s stellar reputation.

Logistics Coordination

Planning and managing engineer routes to maximise efficiency and ensure timely, right-first-time installations and fault fixes.

Warehouse & Stock Fulfilment

Picking, packing, and dispatching customer orders accurately and on time, maintaining stock integrity across all locations.

Workshop Preparation

Completing thorough pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) and machine set-ups to meet Liquidline’s technical standards before dispatch.

Our People & Culture team lead on all things people related, including recruitment, employee onboarding, wellbeing and training and development. They are passionate about providing employees with the best possible experience and provide the WOW experience internally by being responsive to any queries whilst working on strategy and day-to-day operations.

You will often find our HR professionals writing up company policies, offering career development advice or onboarding a new Liquidliner. All of our People & Culture team are people focused, with HR expertise to handle the most sensitive of cases, trust and confidentiality are paramount.

Loren is the Head of People and Culture at Liquidline, leading the development and delivery of our people strategy with a focus on building an inclusive, high performing, and values led culture. Loren holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of East Anglia and a Level 5 Diploma in Human Resource Management. With a strong background in HR and organisational development, Loren brings experience across talent management, leadership development, and employee engagement.

In her role, Loren leads the People and Culture team who work closely with fellow leaders and teams to shape a positive employee experience, drive cultural change, and support strategic growth through people focused initiatives.

The Liquidline Purchasing department is responsible for managing the sourcing, ordering, and stock control of the products and equipment we supply to our customers. Working closely with suppliers and internal teams, the department ensures we have the right products available at the right time to meet customer demand and support operational efficiency.

Our team manages supplier relationships, negotiates pricing, and places purchase orders across a wide range of product categories, from coffee machines and consumables to spare parts and accessories. They work with our Operations and Sales teams to forecast demand and maintain optimal stock levels across our warehouses.

A key part of the Purchasing team’s role is monitoring supply chain performance, resolving delivery or product issues, and identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. By working in a smart and resourceful way, the team plays a vital role in ensuring our customers receive quality products, on time, every time.

Harry Ward

Harry Ward

Harry is the Head of Purchasing at Liquidline, leading the procurement and supply chain strategy that underpins the delivery of exceptional service and products to our customers. With over a decade of experience at Liquidline, Harry’s journey began as an Operations Assistant before progressing through roles as a Purchasing Executive and Purchasing Manager. His deep understanding of the business and consistent focus on efficiency and improvement have made him a key part of the company’s growth.

Harry brings expertise in procurement, supply chain management, negotiation, purchasing and demand planning. In his role, he oversees supplier relationships, stock optimisation and planning to ensure the right products are available at the right time to meet customer needs and support business performance.

He works closely with teams across the business to streamline operations, improve supply chain performance and ensure purchasing supports wider strategic goals.

Stock Management

Forecasting demand and maintaining optimal stock levels to ensure product availability across all warehouse locations.

Supplier Management

Building strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms, and monitoring supplier performance to ensure reliability and quality.

Procurement Operations

Managing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and collaborating with internal teams to support smooth and cost-effective operations.

Our Sales team lead Liquidline’s business growth, consultatively partnering with prospects and customers to ensure we meet their machine and consumable requirements whilst remaining competitive in the market. The team is made up of a variety of roles that require unique but complementary talents, focused on maximising new business and customer development whilst ensuring the customer receives a product and the ongoing support that exceeds their expectations.

Day-to-day, you will find the sales team prospecting, creating new opportunities and supporting existing customers, ensuring they will be in safe hands with Liquidline. The team will scope the requirements of a customer to accurately advise on the most effective solution for them, ensuring that they receive top-notch advice and service. You may find them carrying out machine demonstrations or visiting client sites out on the road. The team work closely with Contract Co-ordination to make sure the customer is looked after through every step of their Liquidline experience.

We look for confident, responsive, articulate sales professionals with solid business acumen, the motivation to generate their own leads and proven sales ability and the ability to understand customer needs to ensure the service we provide to all prospects and customers is market-leading.

John Collins

Commercial Director

John Collins

As our Commercial Director, John leads our strategy for business growth, overseeing and inspiring our business development, account management and customer development teams.

Using his extensive industry knowledge and experience, John develops and implements commercial sales-driven strategies that expand the business and grow profitability.

A born salesman and leader, John is a real people person and has a strong track record of developing relationships not only with key clients but also within his teams. For nearly two decades, John held Senior Management Positions at Kafevend, which later became Eden Springs, growing the company to in excess of 100,000 machines in the field and circa £52m in water and coffee revenue. This wealth of industry experience, combined with John’s natural commercial acumen, drive and inspirational approach to management, has contributed to the phenomenal business growth Liquidline has experienced over the past few years.

In addition to his duties as Commercial Director, John also manages our automotive sales team, which provides coffee and water solutions to car showrooms throughout the company. With this small team, Liquidline has grown its market share to over 62% of this sector, a huge success for our business development team.
