Payroll Specialist – Part Time

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to manage and execute end-to-end payroll operations. This role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing while supporting broader HR and finance functions. The ideal candidate will be proactive, analytical, and committed to delivering exceptional service to employees and stakeholders.

The Role – Payroll Specialist

• Deliver end-to-end payroll for all employees, including new starters, leavers, changes, overtime and bonuses. 
• Validate and reconcile payroll data, ensuring accuracy of pay, deductions, pensions, and benefits.

• Maintain up-to-date payroll records and audit-ready employee files. 
• Submit Real Time Information returns to HMRC on time. 
• Manage monthly and year-end reporting, including P60s, P11Ds, and pensions. 
• Support payroll reconciliations and assist with month-end and year-end processes. 
• Contribute to system upgrades and process improvements. 
• Act as a first point of contact for payroll queries, resolving issues quickly and efficiently. 

What you will need in the role of Payroll Specialist

• Proven experience managing payroll within a medium or large organisation
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, PAYE, NI and pension regulations. 
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in payroll software and HRIS systems. 
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
