How COVID-19 will change the way we work
7th October 2020
Since the lockdown regulations took place in late March this year, we have seen a drastic change across the country.
Businesses have been closing their doors, the UK workforce has shifted to working from home, and everything seems to have turned digital.
With many companies having worked from home, it is clear that COVID-19 has had a huge impact in the way we have worked over the lockdown period.
But, with businesses across the country reopen for business, we have seen offices prepare themselves to have employees return.
With so much having changed during this time, it’s clear that things will not be returning to ‘normality’ anytime soon. Here are 3 ways in which we believe, things will be changing.
Washing your hands more often
This is normally done, whether it’s before you eat, or after you use the bathroom! But when back in the office, increasing the frequency of hand washing will be a new norm.
You might even find yourself questioning whether installing a hand sanitizer station will be worth investing in.
Since it is easier and more convenient to use, it might be worth considering deploying hand sanitiser stations across the office space, or business premise.
Cleaning your desk and computer keyboard and mouse more often
Something often rarely carried out, is the cleaning of desks, alongside the equipment you use on a daily basis.
Post COVID-19, this is guaranteed to change.
Consistent and frequent cleaning of individual equipment is likely to be compulsory in order to eradicate risks.
Bringing in your own mug, plates, and silverware
Prior to COVID-19, a shared kitchen area has always stocked the necessities.
Whether it was the odd mug for your morning coffee, or fork and knife to tuck into your lunch.
But this is likely to have changed given the new safety measures that will need to be in place.
Limitation in Contact
Whether it was a simple handshake or hug, or even making your morning coffee using the kettle, these small things require cross contact.
With a prominent responsibility to limit this, it is important to consider what options there are to do so. An initial start would be to inform staff that contact through handshakes, hugs, etc is not advised.
But further from this, it might be worth considering machinery within your business. More specifically, whether you have the possibility of having these machines require no contact to work.
Cleaning the coffee machine every time it is used, is not a time efficient method in controlling the likelihood in cross contamination. Liquidline provide the latest water technologies, to bring you reassurance in enjoying a far safe hydration experience.
With a variety of touchless water dispensers, including the Zip HydroTap Touch Free Wave, eradicating contact with your water machine is simple. Your team can safely enjoy their drinking water using touch-free technologies, that are built into our water machines.
Coffee machines are also a risk factor when it comes to making your morning coffee, which is why we have our Touchless Coffee Machines range.
Our touchless coffee machines are here to provide your staff with their favourite beverage, safely.
With our range in touchless coffee machines, your staff will be able to enjoy their coffee, tea, water or even hot chocolate, using touch-free technologies!
